Pt. Sanjay Garud

Pt. Sanjay Garud - an exponent of Kirana Gharana has inherited the legacy of classical music, through the Bhajans, since his childhood from his father & grandfather Shri. Maruti Garud, who has been a renowned Pakahwaj & Tabla player. Sanjay started singing the Bhajans at the age of 9. He has been applauded for his performances at various stage concerts around Maharashart. He received the extensive training 13 years, from Late Pt. Shrikant Deshpande, the disciple of Bharatratna Pt. Bhimsen Joshi & grandson of Sawai Gandharv. Sanjay Garud has mastered the art of Classical Vocal music like Khayals, Thumri & Bhajan. He has performed at various music concerts including the prestigious SAWAI GANDHARV BHIMSEN MAHOTSAVA 2011 & 2019 and has shown his class with the style of great Kirana Gharana. Sanjay Garud is a regular performer of Classical Vocal, Thumri, Dadra and Bhajans recitals.
